Our goal is to provide viewers with a thorough experience of the natural features of High Shoals Creek. High Shoals Creek is found in the Blue Ridge Mountains along the great Appalachian Mountain chain. Through this virtual field trip the viewer will experience two beautiful waterfalls among scenic mountain topography. Upon completion of the virtual field trip the viewer will better comprehend caprock waterfalls, how they are formed, physical features they effect/create, and the change they experience over time. The viewer will also be introduced to the types of rock found among the region and the erosion they experience. All these goals will be achieved through detailed descriptions and quality photographs of four unique stops along a 1.3 mile trail that runs along the beautiful High Shoals Creek. We believe that everyone should take the trip to Chattahoochee National Forest and experience High Shoals Creek for themselves, but for those whom may never receive the opportunity we believe we have presented the next best thing.
